Coca-Cola and Pepsi to Stop Using Brominated Vegetable Oil

In a company blog post (http://www.coca-colacompany.com/coca-cola-unbottled/updating-the-portfolio) on May 5, 2014, the Coca Cola company announced that they would be fazing out the use of brominated vegetable oil (BVO) in all of their products by the end of 2014.   

New Caffeinated Cracker Jacks -Cracker Jack'D- Prompts Outcry

Cracker Jack'D: Caffeinated Cracker Jacks (for adults only of course)

There's some new buzz in the snack space. While there hasn't been any official announcement form the company, word on the street is that Frito-Lay is getting to release a caffeine enhanced version of Cracker Jacks, called Cracker Jack'D, and they are scheduled to hit shelves in late 2012. Instead of a toy prize, these 'Snacks with Impact', will have 70 mg of caffeine per 2 oz box. Although Frito-Lay states they are still 'optimizing the product design', so things may change before release.
